"But you are here, Mandy!" says Sharon.
"You know what I mean, Sharon!" says Amanda. "The real me. Jim."
"I think I'll break up with Jim, now that I've found you," says Sharon. "You can be Jim's new assistant! Come on, those businessmen and geeks whose computer stuff you fix, they'll love having a hot chick like you show up instead of boring old Jim -- even if you're a lesbian!" Amanda isn't sure about this, but agrees to stay herself for the party and not give anyone a hint that she's Jim in this ultimate form of drag.
Amanda's a little disconcerted that Jim's absence is hardly noted by the guests at the party, and flattered that guys keep hitting on her. There's just something about being a beautiful young woman, she thinks. Maybe Sharon's right. Maybe Jim should just disappear and his assistant Amanda do all the work. Who wants me to be Jim when I can be Amanda instead?
