The Other Room

Rick returned carrying the hypo, but realized he was too late. As he rounded the corner, he saw Jim's head slide under the woman's stretching belly. He was the same adult Jim, only smaller. A few seconds later she shifted her hips, and Rick knew that his best friend was in a place he had always dreamed. However, her belly started frantically moving, as if Jim was in a panic. A few seconds later, the belly swelled slightly, as if it were filling with a liquid. Finally, it settled in her lap. The woman had a distant smile on her face, as if she were basking in the glow of motherhood.
Rick sighed, then helped the woman to her feet. He led her to the next room, through the double doors, and helped her get comfortable on the big couch.
She was sitting in a room filled with pregnant women, all with similar looks on their faces. In one corner, he saw one of the women sucking on the breast of another.
"Wait, don't!" he began, but knew it was too late. The first began to shrink, and an umbilicus shot out and latched onto her pregnant belly. Within seconds, the second woman sat rubbing her now twins-filled belly.
"Well, that makes six friends gone. I know this antidote will restore them to original size, but how do I get it to them?" Rick pondered.
- "If I had a needle long enough, I could inject him from here." he said.
- "Or I could take it to him." a woman said. It was SHARON!
- "I could do THAT myself." replied Rick. He licked his lips.
- "Hmmm... or maybe we could try SOMETHING ELSE?"
