Jim decides to get all of those women: Jeanette, the dark-haired waitress
or showgirl or whoever she is, the curvy redhead with her little black
dress, and the gorgeous, truly stupid-looking blonde. And their clothes.
And then he wonders whether he should try on Jeanette's skin. After all,
if it'll fit his body, it'll fit Sharon's: Sharon is almost his height,
but weighs less. So he strips naked and gets into the Jeanette skin,
which slides over him as he puts it on, almost as if it had been made
for him. He pops his head into her tiny hollow one and seals up the seams,
and in a minute a copy of Jeanette in all her diminutive glory is looking
back from the mirror. She giggles Jeanette's giggle and puts on the
clothes that go with her body, stuffs her Jim clothes into a bag and adds
the other suits and clothes she decided on when she was Jim, and finds
that she needs a second bag anyway, which will end up half-empty. So she
chooses a lovely Japanese-looking woman and her clothes, and a cute little
black woman and her clothes, and stuffs the suits and clothes into the
second bag. Then she heads back for the mall, Jeanette's personality and
memories becoming more accessible to her with every step, and seeming oh
so congenial and delightful to have. She makes it to Jim's car, gets his
keys from the pants in one bag, loads the bags in the trunk and her little
body into the driver's seat, and drives off.
- The new Jeanette feels compelled to drive to the company that hires Jim for most of his contract work and pretend to be her original, just to cause mischief.
- *Jeanette heads right for Jim's place.
- Something happens on the way to Jim's place...
