"Answer it.",the blonde motioned Billy to the door. Billy answered it, the Blonde out of sight with the gun.

"Hello, young man - is Dr. Raul in."

"He can't come to the door."

"Oh, OK. It's just, well, I heard gun shots and I wanted to check in on Dr. Raul."

"He can't come to the door because he's been shot.", Billy said, flatly - expecting himself and the neighbour to be shot as well, ending what must be a dream in which a gorgeous woman wasn't giving him any.

"Very well, I guess he's in no trouble then.", matter of factly.

"He's dead!", Billy said, surprised at the neighbours response.

"Oh, well, yes, of course he is. When one is shot that is frequently the outcome. But he's in no trouble now."

"He's dead!", Billy repeated, exasperated.

"Yes, you said that. Is his condition likely to worsen?", the neighbour asked, showing some concern.

"Worsen, how? He's dead!"

"There, you see. As I said. He's in no trouble now. After all his condition can't worsen, can it."

"It's not likely to improve either."

"Well, no, not any time soon at any rate."

"Not ever! He's dead!", Billy tried to make the point to the neighbour that this was an important piece of information.

"Right. Well, since he's indisposed at the moment, I don't suppose you'd mind if I came in and took a look around. I've often been curious what the doctor does."

"The woman with the gun is still here."

"Ah, sorry - he's got company then. That's alright, I can come back later. Will he still be around this afternoon?"

"He'll still be dead."

"Good, then he's likely to be in."

"Unless the Police come."

"Why, whatever would they come for?"

"He's been shot."

"Oh - that sort of thing interests them does it. Rather morbid the Police, I guess."

Billy closed the door.

The Blonde was staring at him, and at the door, then back at him. Then she started to laugh.

"That guy is totally unfazeable. You know, if that had been anyone but Raul's stupid neighbour, you would have been shot for that."

"You knew he'd do that?"

"When I first met Dr. Raul he watched us fuck asking when we might be available for a spot of tea. Now, back downstairs."
