Rick knew that he'd been lucky. The wand was not as powerful as he had hoped when he'd developed this rash plan. He'd have to retreat, perhaps to work at some other way to save Jim. Before the wizard could resume, the action, Rick used the wand to reverse the transportation spell with which he and Viola had come to Gor.

He rematerialized in the girl's locker room, and was surprised to see that 'Viola' had also appeared. She remained in her previous position, and if she realized what had happened gave no sign.

Realizing that there were others in the locker room, and not wanting to answer any questions, Rick used the wand to transport himself, along with Viola, to his bedroom. When they materialized, Viola remained kneeling, breasts outthrust.

Rick collapsed on his bed in exhaustion and laid there for nearly an hour collecting his thoughts. Throughout thus time, 'Viola' neither moved nor spoke.

Finally, Rick addressed the girl. "Do you remember anything from before the tent?"

"This girl remembers everything about being a Free Woman named 'Viola' from earth. This girl also remembers that she exists to serve her master."

Well, this poses a dilemma. What to do with a Gorean slave on earth?

  1. *Rick orders Viola to act like his 'normal' girlfriend in public
  2. *Rick tries using the wand on Viola
  3. Rick send her back to Gor, but remains on earth himself
  4. Rick has Viola assist him in researching ways to rescue Jim. 2 years later . . .
