Evening was setting in. Tyra shifted her weight to the balls of her feet as she crept around the abandoned town. Even at close to ten feet in height, the dark still spooked her. She never told the others about her fear. She knew it was silly.
Everything seemed so small than she last remembered. She grew up around there. It just hit her recently. Ducking under an old doorframe, Tyra peered inside an old shattered house. Her old house was around here somewhere. She only remembered this one from trick-or-treating one Halloween. Most of the houses were destroyed. The smell of burnt wood and old dead tickled her nostrils.
*ACHOO!!*
Tyra ran a finger under her nose and sniffled. Something startled from across the street. From a bush.
Tyra arched her back and neck to get a better look. A smaller figure in tattered clothes dashed out of the shrubbery and ran for its life.
The enforcer knew protocol in this situation. Clearing her throat she exclaimed, "HALT! In the goddess's name!"
The figure did not stop. Tyra sighed. If this continued she was supposed to kill the mortal. She had never done it before. This time, she told herself she must, or else Melissa or Jen would find out.
But that little voice in her head nagged her again. "Maybe... only if you need to."
Tyra dashed off after the fleeing mortal, the air bursting around her as she traveled faster than a jungle cat. She left only a steaming dirt trail behind her.
The figure ran, panting and gasping as his lungs strained themselves to keep going. Tyra overtook it before it could even look back. The figure skidded to a stop to see the enforcer standing before it and fell backwards.
"What are you doing here," Tyra asked in her boldest voice, "Speak up."
The figure’s cowl fell back, revealing a young, smooth face of an older boy, only slightly scared by the radiation. The shaking young man drew out a pistol and pointed it at the giantess.
“St…stay back…!!!” the young man exclaimed in a voice filled with terror.
Tyra looked at the boy, looking only fifteen at the least. The voice nagged in her mind not to harm him, but she knew the law required that he should die. Tyra repressed a shiver. She did not know what to do.

What should Tyra do?
