"We better get out of here!" yelled Fleecey, worried, as a loud whirring noise started up. "The fans are being turned on!"
"This way!" motioned Foxie over her shoulder. "This is an alternate route out--it's quicker. Fluffy showed it to me." The remaining three female furries quickly crawled down the tunnel, large blades coming closer and closer to them all the while. Genny/Jim gasped as one clipped the back of her tail and then--
they were out.
Of the tunnel, that is.
But NOT out of danger.
"Well, well, well, lookie what we have here..." drawled a familiar voice--TOO familiar. Genny/Jim looked up in dread to see their comrade, Fluffy, surrounded by warbots. But she was not a prisoner. Oh, no. She was LEADING the evil metallic slaves. And smiling.
"I KNEW you'd take that alternate route I showed you out of the ventilation shafts, my pretty," she smarmed at Foxie, lifting her chin with one hand and forcing the vixen to look into her eyes, "and that it would lead you STRAIGHT to me. Silly little idiot. Don't you think the Metallic Sorceror KNOWS about your pathetic little plans to rescue your even MORE pathetic little friend?" She threw back her head and laughed.
"You couldn't possibly know what the Metallic Sorceror wants or knows--it's impossible to get to him! Nobody who has tried it has ever lived!" protested Fleecey, confused, as guard-bots moved in to capture the three female furries.
"KNOW him?!" exclaimed Fluffy, throwing her head back again. "My dear little sweet innocent pawn, I AM him! Or her, actually. The male persona just helps to further throw people off the scent. _I_ am the Metallic Sorcoress, and YOU are incredibly privileged to have actually seen me as myself and learned my true identity. However, now that your usefullness as over, you shall unfortunately not be permitted to leave this castle alive with that information! I needed to learn how to get close to the Queen--and now I know. The Emeralds are magic, hmmmn?" She pulled a glittering green tiara down from a high shelf and held it tantalizingly over their heads. "THANK you, Foxie. I've been trying to figure out the Furry Kingdom's technology for centuries. Now that I have the secret you shall all soon be bowing down to ME! BWAHAHAHA!!!" And here she just cut loose and indulged herself in a full-fledged insane comic-book villian laugh.
"You--you'll never get away with this!" yelled Genny, then immediately hated herself afterwards for saying such a cliché. The moment seemed to demand it, though.
"Oh, won't I?" sneered Fluffy sarcasically. "You seem to be forgetting the fact that I OWN you now, my pretties. The same way I own your friend Valdez!" She snapped her fingers.
Escorted by large war-bots, a small blue chameleon entered the room.
A small, blue, male, METALLIC chameleon.
Fleecey gasped as this sunk in. "Oh, my god! You've already transformed him! YOU BASTARD!!" She lunged forward and tried to go for Fluffy's throat, but the bots held her back. The cyborg rabbit watched the proceedings with a mild, patronising smile.
"My, how ferocious you've become little sheep, I didn't know you had it in you! But it's too late for any of that. Valdez became one of my evil robotic slaves long before you even set out on this mission--I made SURE of that. He was just the bait to set the trap. A rather effective one, I must say.
"But now, you are under my control and now NOTHING can stop me from taking over your Kingdom! Once I unlock the powers of the Emeralds, I can rule the entire world! The universe, even! SEVERAL universes!
"There is but one thing stopping me--only the password of the Royal Family, passed down from mother to daughter, will allow the Emeralds to activate. I need that password, Guenevere St. John." The evil Sorcoress rabbit glared Jim firmly in the eye, startling the heck out of him. "I need it NOW."
Gulp.
