"Hi! I'm Valerie Nightshade. You might've heard of my father, Drake Nightshade? Anyway, I'd just finished entertaining some of the patients in the pediatric ward, when I bumped into Stacy, here. I used to babysit her when I was in junior high. And, she tells me you need some cheering up. So, for my FIRST trick...!"
Valerie drew the curtains all around the bed, then, with Stacy's help, opened them again. Standing there was the rest of the senior varsity squad (including the identical twin co-captains, Brenda and Beth)! The cheerleaders all stepped up to the hospital bed, totally surrounding Jim. He began to get nervous.
"And, for my SECOND trick...!" Whereupon, the cheerleaders re-closed the curtain around Jim's bed. Following that, Valerie pointed her magic wand, and said: "Edbay; atientpay; othbay inkshray!" At that, the bed began to diminish in size, along with Jim!! I stopped shrinking when it reached ten inches in length (six of which were Jim, himself).
"So, you thought that peeping tom bit, with the invisibility cream, was really funny? Well, let's see how you enjoy us being the only ones to see YOU, from now on!" Whereupon, Stacy nodded her head at Beth, who removed the lid off a shoebox, giving it to Brenda. Then, Stacy picked up Jim, bed and all, and gently deposited them in the shoe box, which Brenda quickly re-closed.
