"Im sorry, Melissa," you continue, "But something about this seems 'off.' Whatever your going to do, you'll have to do it alone."

A pained expression crosses Melissa's vast face. You never thought a creature of her radiance could make such a sound.

"So you dont think I can do it too?" Melissa says, a tear rolls down her cheek.

"What?" you ask, "Do what, Melissa?"

Melissa stands to her full height, completely dwarfing you and giving you a feeling of insignificance. Her feet leave the ground as she floats towards the ceiling. The roof crackles and melts away, letting light shine into the locker room.

"Melissa..." you begin, trying to find some word of comfort, "Its just that I-"

Your surroundings suddenly shift and you realise you are standing inside your house in your living room.

"Melissa?" you ask, only the walls give you silence.

You walk around, not sure of what do to next. Plopping down on your couch, you snatch the remote and try to watch some TV to take your mind off things.

  1. *A special report interupts the sitcom you were watching.
  2. Melissa's face appears through the broadcast.
  3. *Some damn collect-call comercial. You hate those.
