Apparently it was the computers that were the gang's main target. They started removing them from the desks and carrying them outside, where they presumably had a van or truck waiting. It appeared that they must have managed to disable any alarm system that the building might have had. Jim realised that if they waited till the gang had gone, that should make their own escape easier. So long as the break-in wasn't discovered first, that is.

  1. *The gang left.
  2. One of the gang discovered Jim and Sharon.
  3. The gang left - but before Jim and Sharon could escape the police arrived.
