Getting under Sharon's skin

Jim, hands trembling, looked into the box...inside was something that looked just like the skin of his girlfriend Sharon's head! It was pale, almost bloodless in color, but as far as he could tell it was a perfect copy of the real Sharon's face and scalp...of the entire skin of her head. Every freckle, every faint downy hair growing from the cheeks (so fine as to be almost invisible, but...), every tiny flaw in Sharon's near-perfect features was duplicated exactly! The rest of the Sharon skin (suit? costume? masquerade outfit?) was exactly right as well. Jim had always wanted, well, a sort of complete union with Sharon, a union with her body and mind more complete than sex could provide. Compulsively he stripped his clothes off and got into the Sharon skin... it stretched obligingly, slid perfectly onto him...before Jim quite knew what he was doing, he was enclosed head to neck in a copy of his girlfriend's skin, with his hands, gloved with fake Sharon skin, methodically sealing up the slit that went from the suit's crotch to its neck. Jim couldn't see where the slit had been. The skin was splayed out over his body, stretched grotesquely to fit, but it was strangely comfortable. Jim seized the hollow Sharon head and stuffed his own head into it...made sure that its lips, nostrils, eyeholes, the lot fitted perfectly...sealed up the neck. Then the change hit. After thirty seconds of disorientation and extreme discomfort but little pain, a duplicate of Sharon stood naked in front of a handy mirror we forgot to mention earlier, admiring herself. She remembered being Jim but was strangely contented in her new form. She noticed some clothes on a hanger behind the one that had held her skin, and soon she was in bra, panties, pink blouse, tight stone-washed jeans, and cute little white sneakers. She tossed her head back with evident delight at her own good looks. Then she:
