"Excuse me?" says Jim.
"We lost our men in a great plague," she says, "to which a few men of this planet seem immune...yourself included. That, and my daughter needs a lifemate...and she likes you. Janiz, express your pleasure in him."

Janiz squeezes Jim against her and pulls her off to the ship and takes off, leaving Lita behind. When Jim asks about that, she giggles.
"Mother will find other men," she says, "and take them back...but meantime, let's have some fun."
