Jim reached into the chamber and pulled out the yellow fruit.
"All right! It works!" he cried excitedly.
Then, he noticed that the fruit he was holding was the wrong yellow fruit.
"Aw crap! Not *another* lemon!"
He tossed the lemon into the wastebasket with the others and:

  1. went back to work on the matter-energy-matter converter
  2. worked on another project
  3. went upstairs to watch TV
  4. went for a walk
