Suddenly, a strange thumping noise filled the hallways. A thumping that put Melissa's hair on edge. She began to move faster.
Thump... thump...
And faster...
Thump.... thump.... thump.. thump...
The thumping began to sound closer. Melissa suddenly turned and realised she had walked herself into a dead-end. From across the hallway, a dark shadow appeard against the wall.
Thump... thump... thump...
"Oh god... oh god," she repeated to herself.
The thumping grew closer and closer, and the shadow did as well. Melissa covered her mouth to repress a scream.
"..going.." a faint voice echoed
"What?" Melissa whispered.
"...going..."
"Whos there..?" Melissa asked meekly.
"And going..."
Melissa's eyes widened as the thumping grew closer and closer. The shadow drew itself closer and closer, then began to diminish. As it drew closer, the shadow reduced in size untill her assailant's face was revealed.
"Nothing outlasts the energizer batery..." her assailant whispered.
The small pink rabit began to roll towards Melissa.
"it keeps going... and going..."
Melissa screamed in sheer terror. The little rabbit with black shades beat it's malevolent melody louder and louder.
"...going"
When it was almost apon her, Melissa reached into her little chick backpack and pulled out a can of mace, firing it at the pink rodent.
"...and going.. and- AH GODDAMNIT! MY EYES!!!!"
The rabbit's little wheels screached to a stop, and the bunny clutched his shades in pain. Wasting no time, Melissa reeled back, and did a long kick that sent the pink monster flying across the hallway, smashing against the wall and drumping it's shattered remains into a nearby waste bin.
The menece was over.. but for how long?
