"We should destroy them," said Phoebe. "And just how do you propose to do that?" asked Sharon (who felt none the worse for her recent labour). "As far as I can see, they are pretty much indestructible by anything short of heavy duty cutting gear. I'm not sure that we should be talking like this, anyway. I am uneasy about just how much they can hear or understand."

  1. Phoebe turned to her radio, with the intention of asking a friend to send cutting gear.
  2. Phoebe agreed to let the matter drop.
  3. A collar leapt from the pile to Sharon's neck.
