Fairies Wear Boots (and fatigues, and clip belts...)
Unending BE - episode 37071
"Hey! Over here!" a voice called Sharon from the ground. She could tell immediately what kind of voice it was, and she landed. Could that be? They took this design from nature, rather than from Mr. Black's deranged mind? Sharon thought, marveled. After all, that meant that most of what they ever taught her was rubbish.
"Huh?" she asked the other faerie after landing. She was a redhead, a tad shorter than herself. Her uniform had a large cut in the back to let the wings through. Her frame was as petite as Sharon's, but most of the front was obscured by a sort of compressed air rifle, clip hangers and tiny flasks containing a glowing green liquid.
The fairy-soldier (fairy-captain, actually, as Sharon noticed looking on the being's shoulder) looked worried about Sharon's presence there, and didn't mind being carefully scanned antennae to toes. She was the first to break the silence.
"Just what are you doing here?"
"Uh... I... I got lost." The glow around the pixie's body slightly changed color, although Sharon couldn't quite figure out what that meant. As she thought of it, she saw that her own was more of a pinkish tint.
"All right then... the fastest way out of town is to treewalk through that old oak over there. It binds to the woods to the east. Or perhaps, you'd want to come along with me... if you ask me, this is one booring place. Nobody cares about us anymore." she said with a smile, apparently not noticing Sharon's puzzled look.
"Why, thanks... but, come where?"
"How was that book... Well, fun, adventure, and wild things! Oh, by the way, I didn't introduce myself. My name is...
- ...Tinker Bell, and -- despite what you might have heard while in this place -- there's a lot of work at my home, and we need all the help we can get."
- *...Tayla. And..."
"Look, boss! There's two! The lab guys said it was only one!"
- ...Umagon. The reason why I'm dressed like this is that..."
