The Visitors have a Disagreement

Unending BE - episode 32215

The man appeared unwilling to believe Jim's story. Jim supposed he couldn't really blame him. It did sound pretty implausible. The woman seemed more receptive, however, and asked for more details. "This is nonsense, Carol," said the man. "He's just trying to make a fool of us. He's obviously beyond redemption. I'm going. Are you coming with me?" Jim rather doubted from the look of Carol that she would stand up to the man, but she surprised him. "You go on, Bill," she said, "but I want to find out more about this. It's just crazy enough that it could actually be true." Bill left, not looking too pleased.

"Won't you come in?" asked Jim. "We can't talk properly here on the doorstep, and if anyone else were to come by it could be embarrassing for you." Taking a deep breath, and looking around to ensure she was not observed, Carol allowed herself to be led into the lounge. The slaves provided Jim, Sadie and Carol with cups of coffee, as Amy had everything explained to her and they discussed what was to be done.

Eventually Carol said:

  1. *"I don't think I am going to be able to persuade the TFVM to help, but I myself will do whatever I can."
  2. "I will go to the leaders of our movement and see if I can convince them to help."
  3. "I'm sorry, but I'm frightened. These people sound dangerous."
