Edith groaned as she checked her alarm clock to the side of her bed. Eight o'clock. Far too early to be getting up during the summer. She resolved to go back to sleep, even though such efforts were often futile. Normally when she attempted this, she never fell asleep, but only lay there for a few hours. Nevertheless, Edith manages for the first time in a while to fall asleep.

Suddenly, she was rudely awakened by the buzzing of an alarm clock. Which was odd, because her alarm clock was off and had been all summer. Groaning, she reached for the 'off' button when she realized something.
