Girls Just Wanna Have Guns...(I'll stop with the corny '80s song-quotes when the song quotes stop being so gosh-darned APPROPRIATE!)

Unending BE - episode 30138

Chameleon-Sharon nodded and followed Julie-Su up the stairs. At first everything seemed all right, then a voice called from behind them, "Hey, YOU! It's her, boys! GET HER!!" and the sound of many feet came pounding behind them.
"Oh, shit." sighed Julie-Su (NOTE: This is a real character from a comic book series, but it's a G-rated comic book series and the REAL Julie-Su would never swear. However, in a more liberal forum, such as this addventure, she would, as she IS a tough, dangerous veteran who has betrayed one group and been abandoned by another...she's pretty dark and WOULD swear when the occasion called for it if she was not written for a kiddie audience.) "It's the EST. They've caught us. They don't know that I'm not IN the Legion anymore! How can I ever convince them?"
"Why don't they believe you?" huffed Sharon as they ran down the streets of this strange new city. She didnt' have much time to look at the sights but she did notice that it was populated mainly by people like Julie but coming in a variety of colours, with a few other species of animal-people thrown in here and there, and some odd alien touches that told her she was TRULY on another world--such as slanting skyscrapers and floating automobiles.
"Because," said Julie-Su, breaking in on Sharon's thoughts, "NO-one defects from the Dark Legion. Not without doing so in little teeny pieces, anyway. DAMN." She had accidentally led them down a blind alley into a dead end, and they were now trapped.
"Got any weapons on ya?" she asked Sharon, then shook her head, causing her long pink spines to flop around her slender feminine form. (She was about 16 or so, Sharon would guess.) "Obviously not, you don't have ANY clothes in which to carry them! Well, in that case, turn invisible, climb up that wall as far as you can, and hope for the best!"
What resulted next was a total mess. Julie-Su fired her gun mercilessly into the group of cops that had found her, every single bullet finding its mark--but she was NOT aiming to kill; rather to disable. After all, she was already in ENOUGH trouble without adding murder to the list of charges. Then she waded into them with rather impressive martial-arts skills--using her bionic parts much less than you might expect, relying more on her own flesh and bone--chopping, kicking, twirling, and just old-fashioned punching--until all the policemen were down.
"Well, that's it." she said with satisfaction, panting heavily with exertion. Sharon was highly impressed--this woman, young though she may be, was DANGEROUS. Definitely not a good person to have for an enemy. "I got all of them. You can come down now Shar--"
"I don't think so." Her voice cut off suddenly as a man stepped out of the shadows from where he had been hiding behind a garbage bin in the alley. He wore a uniform similar to the others, only fancier and with a Canadian-mountie-esque hat on his head, and he was brown all over, including his spines, except for a thatch of floppy black bangs that hung down over his snout and would have given him a "cute" look if he hadn't been acting so calmly, professionally menacing. "You are coming with me," he whispered as he held a gun to the small of her back, "down to the police headquarters...and you WILL answer our questions."
"But I'm INNOCENT!" cried Julie desperately, more embarrassed than anything else that she could be caught so easily by one man after defeating about ten single-pawedly. "I'm not IN the Legion anymore! You MUST believe me! Please! I hate them and I don't want anything more to do with them!"
The brown creature-man smiled reassuringly. At least, it was SUPPOSED to reassure, but it didn't. "Then you should be JUST as comfortable saying those things at the police station. Come along." And he started to prod her towards his police car, hovering a few inches off the ground just outside the alley.
Julie-Su had done a very good job of not looking towards the wall where Sharon was hiding, so as not to give her friend away. So Sharon was still free. But now she felt really bad about this. Her friend--well, I GUESS she could be called a friend--had just saved her tail AGAIN, and was now being carted off while Sharon just clung to the wall and let it happen! Maybe she should reveal herself and go to the police station WITH Julie.
Then again, Sharon did NOT like that line about "answering our questions" at ALL. Torture? She didn't know, and wasn't sure she was ready to find out.

  1. *Sharon reveals herself to the police officer.
  2. Sharon stays quiet and retains her freedom. After all, whatever this mess with "the Dark Legion" is, it ain't HER fault.
  3. SOMETHING ELSE!
