With her pregnancy seeming to mark some sort of final commitment to this life, and with Jim's memory showing no sign of returning, Sharon decided that it was time to take the final step and forget all about her past life. So, whilst she was still agile enough to shin up and down the vine, she went off into the jungle to collect a Fruit of Forgetfulness. She returned to the treehouse, ate the fruit and sat back to wait for it to take effect.

  2. But nothing happened. Perhaps it only worked for gorillas?
