Unending BE - episode 30001
Sure enough, no response. "Try it again, Jim, hurry!" Sharon looked scared.
Jim pulled the trigger again, but the gun just clicked like a toy. "Jim, I can't stay
like this," Sharon shifted a bit, sending a few more panes of the window into the garden
and cracking the sink in the bathroom with her foot. The floor creaked and sagged under
her enormous weight. Jim started to sweat, it was hot in the room, confined there with
12 tons or so of very nervous Sharon. "Maybe it's jammed..." Jim smacked the
gun against Sharon's calf a few times, then pulled the trigger again. There was
a sort of flash of light, but poor Sharon remained unchanged. "Well, Jim," she
concluded, "I guess I've really bolloxed it up this time, isn't there anything
you can do? You're always fiddling around with gadgets and stuff..."
Just then, they heard the sound of Sharon's mother's Jaguar on the driveway...
- Sharon's mom comes in from the hall, carrying a piece of the ray gun...
- Sharon's mom notices that the cieling in the dining room appears to be verging on collapse...
- *Sharon's mom enters the bedroom; "Hello dear, hello Jim, are you two having fun? Sharon, you know you promised Mrs. Winthrop you'd clean her gutters today..."
- *something else...
