Eventually Mr Black stops laughing. He and the heavies leave, locking Jim and Sharon up for the night. Feeling hungry and having nothing else to eat, Jim and Sharon tuck into the horse food. Then they make themselves as comfortable as they can and try to go to sleep.

In the morning they find that:

  1. There is no visible change in either of them.
  2. Jim has changed.
  3. Sharon has changed further.
  4. *Both of them have changed.
