Donna shot out of the top of the box snarling like a demon from hell (which she was). The baggage handlers either fainted dead away or took off running as fast as their legs could carry them, calling out prayers in Spanish.

She realized that anyone she tried to talk to would doubtless react in a similar fashion. How was she supposed to get to Peru now?

  1. Find a phone, call Velma and try that telephone space-jumping trick that the demons keep using on her.
  2. Drag her crate near the baggage area for Peru Air and hope it gets loaded on another flight to Lima.
  3. First, she’d have to deal with the heavily armed black marketeers who had arrived to buy the “computer parts” that baggage handlers had hoped to sell them.
  4. She’d just have to think of something else.
