Unending BE - episode 28039

Jim woke to the whisper of little voices, and even though he was still a skunk, he felt as stiff (and not just for obvious reasons) as if his plotline had been gathering dust for four and a half years.
Looking around, he noticed several small faces lining the fence around the garden, and thought for a moment he was surrounded by mice. Then he got the image into focus and realized it was just the kids from the neighbourhood - including some younger relatives of his and Sharon's - standing around them and staring curiously.
"Gee, Mister, that's a great costume," a voice said. "Where'd you buy it?"
"Yeah, like your folks could afford it," another put in.
"Don't be silly, a third interrupted. "Don't you see those aren't shop coustumes? Those guys gotta be pro actors or stuntmen or something."
"Oh yeah, what are they doing sleeping in Uncle Jim's garden then?" a strangely familiar voice shot in from the right.
Jim frowned. That sounded familiar, he thought. There were only two people in the world he was an uncle to, and one of them hadn't learned to speak yet...
His slow train of thought was about to reach its destination when the sound of a beginning quarrel brought Sharon back from dreamland. As she rolled over on her back, stretched and yawned, half the audience gasped.
"She's got thingies!"
"Oh drat, mom'n'dad are never gonna get me a costume like that!"
Sharon froze. Even with the vague memories of what had gone earlier, this was not the kind of thing she had expected to hear when waking up. She turned her head in the direction she had last seen her mate, and started speaking his name.
"Ji..."
She was cut short as Jim threw himself at her and planted a big wet kiss on her muzzle, causing parts of the audience to go "aaaw" and "yuck" respectively. The both had relatives in the crowd, and he didn't want to reveal their identities until they had a chance to discuss it. But how was he going to tell Sharon that?

  1. Sharon spots a familiar face and gets the point.
  2. She loses her breath, giving Jim a chance to explain.
  3. She pulls back and gasps "Jim, what are you doing?" Uh oh...
  4. Something Else Happens.
