Jim peeked about the side of a tent and saw that there were two people standing near the entrence to the carival.
"No good, we'll have to find a diffrent way," he said as he looked about the fence that surrounded the carnival.
It was a cheep temporary fence that didn't match the contours of the ground, leaving several large gaps at the bottom in quite a few places. Jim and Sharon walked about the edge of the fence until they came across a gap fairly large enought to fit them and was also a bit well removed from the main part of the carnival.
"Ladies first," Jim said as he lifted the bottom of the fence as high as he could and helped Sharon under. Sharon poked her head through and took a cautious look about. She couldn't see or smell anyone around, so she quickly shuffled the rest of her body through the hole and took Jim's place holding up the fence. He then quickly flowled suit as he crawled throught himself.
"So, where's your car from here?" he asked.
"Just over there," Sharon replied as she pointed towards a couple of hills a few hundred feet away.
"How'd you find this place anyway?" Jim asked as they began to run full-speed towards the hills.
"I was driving home from visiting relative and just happened to see it from the road. I saw a hole bunch of other vehichles when I pulled up, so I thought it was the parking lot for the carnival. Like you, when I came up to the gate, some guy wanted me to go into a tent with those "VR" goggle thingies. I didn't trust him and faked putting on the goggles. When he thought the machine was on and left, I snuck out and started wandering about. You wouldn't believe how many people are in that place, all of them thinking it's a fake image in a computer!"
"Including me..."
"Including you..."
Jim and sharon eventually reached the hills without a single problem and began to sneak about the parked cars.
"Over here!" Sharon called out as she found her car and pulled the keys from her pockets, "Thank God, I had the forsight to keep my keys and money seperate from my clothes when you changed me."
Jim and Sharon quickly hopped into the car and strapped on the saftey belts. Jim shifted about as he fought to find a comfortable spot to put his tail as Sharon ignored the unpleasent feelings to just slam the accelerator to the floor and took off like a bat out of hell.
