Jim wasn't sure how long it was before he woke up again but this time, he found himself lying in a hospital bed. Apparently, he had had some kind of seizure -- the doctor explained it to him that afternoon. Unfortunately, over the next couple of days, it developed that no test conclusively determined what had caused the seizure and if such a thing would happen again. It was two days since he first woke up in hospital when a silver-haired doctor whom he had never seen came to visit.
"Mr. Harrison," said the man identified on his nametag as 'Dr. A H Filmon', "I'm with the department of psychiatry; we have done some ground-breaking work on neurological conditions at this hospital -- dealing with temporary paralysis, seizures and other temporary neurological conditions which do not have a behavioural component. We'd like to do some tests on you over the next 48 hours. I'm here to arrange your transfer to our ward and personally escort you."
