Sydney wears the patch

Jim looked again to make sure he wasn't imagining it. Right there, at the base of Sydney's pretty neck, covered by her blond hair, was a small patch. It was flesh-toned and about the size of a Band-Aid. "Hey, Sydney," Jim interrupted the young woman's sobbing fit, "what's this thing?" Sydney paused, sniffed, wiped her nose on her sleeve -- coming in from the side this time -- and twisted her head around toward Jim. "Wh-what th-th-thing? *sniff*" Jim touched the patch, "This patch, uh, Band-Aid, whatever." Sydney reached up behind her head and felt around where Jim was touching. "I don't know... I've never... oh no, Jim, someone's..." She started sobbing again. One especially large sob caused the final demise of the side seam of her pink sweater. It split with a loud tearing sound, leaving a large gap along the outer curve of one swelling breast. Jim could see the straining fabric of Sydney's bra biting into the soft flesh of her side and breast. The ripping sent Sydney further into a proxysm of weeping.

  3. Sydney suddenly started running for the door.
