The wizard, dismounting from his horse, makes a gesture and both Rick and Jim find themselves clad in light white-and-blue tunics after the Greek fashion; as the knights close their circle, the wizard -- an old man with a long gray beard and a strangely familiar face -- greets the two with something resembling the Vulcan salute. Feeling somewhat stupid, Jim and Rick reply in kind, not noticing that the knights seem at loss with this.
"Welcome to Azeroth. My name is Asghan. Perhaps you would feel more comfortable in your real shapes?"
"Yes." "No." "Uhm, no, if you could just... tell us
what's going on?" Rick managed to say in the end.
"But of course. Your arrival in these lands is not
coincidential. Not so long ago, a dimensional rift
briefly connected our formerly happy territories with
another place. We speculate that Ork shamans who came here across the rift managed to reopen the Dark Portal sealed a century ago by our ancestors, and now the great Horde has returned to ravage our land. The Alliance began to shake soon after our first victory, and now our nations are once again divided. You see, James and Richard, we need all the help we can get."
"Cool" Jim replied "now we get to play Warcraft 3 live."
"No, I heard WC3 is supposed to be more of a RPG, actually." Rick retorted.
"Whatever. Besides, I beat W2 a dozen times, so if they're looking for a savior fell from the sky, that's me."
"Excuse me... ladies..." the wizard exclaimed after clearing his throat "I am supposed to have no clue about what you are talking about, and these brave warriors actually do not. Now, as you would put it, let's talk business."
