As Sharon continued along the tunnel, she reflected on what she had just done. She had picked up a jewel just out of the fire, that might be expected to be very hot, and placed it in her navel. In fact it had been no more than pleasantly warm, but she had not known that when the compulsion to pick it up had seized her.

Then she rounded a curve and found herself in a chamber dimly lit by a torch on the wall. It was occupied by two rather hairy and not overclean men, dressed only in loincloths. When they saw her they cried out: "The Holy One! May we suckle on your breasts and drink their holy milk?" Sharon replied:

  1. "Certainly not!"
  2. Deciding to be cautious: "The time is not yet right, my followers."
  3. *Realising that the thought was a turn-on: "Yes."
