Uh, oh. Jim thought. Sharon's friend, Karen. She was wearing a typical Karen outfit. High turtleneck, dress pants and sensible shoes. It's like she can't bear the thought of people seeing her skin.
Karen had never liked Jim. She just couldn't understand what a beautiful girl like Sharon would see in him. He wasn't that much to look at and now she had found him with another woman! "I can't wait till I tell Sharon about this," she said.
"Yeah, whatever Karen. Leave me alone okay?"
She walked over to the counter in a huff. He overheard her talking to one of the stylists...
"Can I help you?"
"I hadn't been in this salon yet and I just thought I'd take a look around."
"Suzy, I'd like to get Karen a makeover right now," Jim whispered.
"Well. We're real busy today," Suzy replied.
"I'll pay double."
"Done." Suzy walked up to the counter and said to Karen, "You're in luck! We just had an appointment open up!"
"I really can't afford it right now," Karen said.
"That's okay. For new customers we have a one-time free trial." Karen began thinking about it.
