The start of Something Else

Unending BE - episode 21230

A swirly cloud of something else that looked like fog filled the room, and then faded to somewhere else. A man lay sleeping in a bed, covers pulled up to his chin. The clock next to him showed "6:59", then quietly flipped to something else, possibly "7:00", and began to beep.

Jim was asleep, and right in the middle of a very different dream, when the loud beeping of the alarm caused him to do something else, namely waking up. He blinked his eyes a few times, rolled over and turned off the alarm. He lay there in bed for a moment, remembering what he was supposed to do today. Whatever it was, it had better be something else than yesterday, he thought - yesterday was weird, but today is something else entirely!

After lying ("laying" means something else) there quietly for a moment, Jim:

1. remembered it was his girlfriend Elsa's birthday.
2. *decided to go back to sleep to try to get back into some other dream.
3. *heard someone else telling him he was going to be late for school.
4. *suddenly realized someone else was in his bed.
5. *became aware that he was somewhere else.
