Karma Chameleon...You Come And Go...(sing it with me now!)

Unending BE - episode 20371

Sharon shrunk slightly, down to the height of about four feet tall. So far, so good. She still looked basically like herself.
Then, as you might have guessed, the WEIRD stuff happened.
Her skin started turning...bumpy....and strange growths started to appear on it...at first she worried that the ray had given her advanced cancer or something but then she realised that she was growing SCALES. As a true reptile, her body form changed to match--since she no longer needed mammaries, because she was no longer a MAMMAL, her breasts entirely disappeared, not even any nipples (YES, you heard me! HA HA!) and her hips narrowed, so that she was now straight up and down. Well, not TOTALLY straight; she was now leaning slightly forward like one of those vicious fast smaller carnivor dinosaurs; a Velociraptor or Deinonychus perhaps. (A Deinonychus--and I pray I'm spelling that right--is like a Velociraptor only 4 feet tall rather than six. They also have RETRACTILE claws, like a cat. Cool, no?) But that was balanced well by her new tail. Her long, tapering, scaly tail that curved up into a tight spiral at the end for some reason. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't straighten it so she stopped trying. A horrible headache signaled new growth; a horn frill on the back of her skull formed, presumably for protection. She then grew a long, sticky tongue, sticky pads on all her digits (fingers and toes), and a small pointy horn on the end of her snout. She also felt two strange new things, as well--one: she was suddenly VERY hungry for some nice ants or termites, perhaps a cricket or two, and two: the air conditioning in the lab was making her sleepy! She was truly a cold-blooded creature now.
Oh, and one last thing--not counting her underbelly, which was white, or her eyes, which were now yellow--and capable of rotating independently of each other, giving her stereo vision!--from head to toe, all her scales were BRIGHT NEON PINK!
"Well." said Mr. Black thoughtfully, as he came over to inspect lizard-Sharon more carefully. "This isn't QUITE what I had in mind by 'exotic', I had in mind something with more...you know..." he gestured an hourglass figure in the air with his hands, "but I'm sure there are some perverts--I mean, 'customers'--out there who will pay good money for a lizard-girl. Come on, my dear." and he snapped his fingers. Two large thugs came towards her with electric shock-sticks to knock her unconscious.
Oh, god, thought Sharon from inside her little lizard brain. I have to get out of here! I have to escape! Being able to change back would be NICE, but on the other hand, I'd much rather be a FREE lizard girl than be a slave to the horrible Mr. Black! Oh, I just wish I could DISAPPEAR and be out of this horrible nightmare!
Well, Sharon got her wish.
But not quite the way she had intended.
The scenery around her suddenly got strangely blurry and faded, as if it was transparent, from her point of view. But the reactions of the humans in the room were MUCH more interesting.
"WHAT the?!!" yelled Mr. Black. "She's disappeared! I specifically didn't dial for a teleportation powers option! Who's been tinkering with the machine again? I want their head on my desk by tomorrow night!"
Wait, realised Sharon suddenly. I've turned invisible! I never knew what KIND of lizard I was...I must be a chameleon! But one with modified, stronger powers. I don't just turn green or brown, I can turn all the way invisible in front of ANY background! Whoah, cool! Bet they didn't have THAT in mind! Now to use this to escape... and she found that the sticky pads on her bare hands and feet (she was wearing no clothing at all, but then again, having no figure to cover, and no body heat to trap in, clothes were beyond useless to her now) allowed her to climb up the wall. Cooler and cooler. She soon was on the ceiling above the confused humans, watching them with great amusement as they turned the place upside-down for her.
"Hey, you!" called a voice from below her. Sharon looked down to see another strange pink figure, speaking with a female voice. She couldn't see very well in invisible form for some reason, but she could see that it was bipedal and appeared to be furry. "I can see you up there, you know. The life-sign readings don't lie." The figure held up a small computer-like thing--it was rather like a tricorder from Star Trek. "I'm invisible too, only with a force field. I don't have time to explain who I am and where I came from right now. All you need to know is that I'm an enemy of Mr. Black's and I can get you out of here safely. Do you trust me?"
Sharon considers her options.
