Riding the Ferret Ferry (an Addventure experiment)

Unbeknownst to the two sleeping girls, the ferrets had the ability to cross time and space. They could go into the past or the future, or enter parallel universes and alternate timelines.

The moving carpet of ferrets carried the girls through a long, winding series of tunnels made of some slick rubbery substance. The ferrets made a number of turns, seemingly at random. Eventually, they reached an opening in the floor of the tunnel and, in a tricky maneuver much like a crowd supporting a stage-diver on their hands, pushed the two girls through the opening and into the light.

The shock of landing on the ground woke Rick and Jim up. When they looked around, they were very surprised to find themselves:

  1. >Back in time, but not very far back.
  2. >A parallel universe that’s quite nearby, temporally speaking.
  3. >In the computer lab.
  4. >Among centaurs.
  5. >Back in the locker room -- but something was different.
  6. *Right back where they came from.
