Unending BE - episode 11136
Gambit sat with his feet up on the counter, rocking his chair back as he surveyed the store and it's customers. Just one day ago he'd been walking by the store, when he'd felt a strange yearning to venture inside, followed by a sharp blow to his head.
When he came to, a crazy old man in a bathrobe was standing over him, telling him that it was time for him to sell the store, move on to greener pastures, and most importantly find a new shtick. He then started to talk about Pokewomen, and other strange creatures Gambit had no idea of.
"So what's the deal?" Gambit said, rubbing his head as he stood up. "You treat all your customers this well?"
"That's not important. The important thing is, this is a magic store, and I just unloaded a Grimoire that could lead to a lot of trouble." He said, sounding somewhat nervous. "I want you to buy the store from me."
"What, you want to sell me a magic store? How much?"
"Lessee..." He pondered the question, knowing he could take it back whenever he wanted. "Five bucks?"
"Wait, you want to sell me a store, in a mall with ridiculous rental prices, full of thousands of dollars worth of stock, for five bucks?" Gambit said, scarcely believing a word the man was saying.
"Yep."
"You sir, have a deal." Gambit shook his hand vigorously.
The scene faded, and Gambit smiled to himself as he looked around the store he now possessed. Sure, he had no idea what anything did, or how to use it for that matter. How hard could it be? A few amateur magic kits, pulling rabbits from hats...too easy, right?
He stood up, and started looking over the shelves to see just what kind of items were being sold. It all looked pretty normal...potions, jewelry, magazines, DVD's...it didn't even look magical.
"Geez, maybe I got ripped after all." Gambit murmured as he pulled a copy of JUGGS magazine from the Necronomicron he'd been using as a paperweight.
Just then....
- Just then, Jim and his tiwn burst into the store with the Grimoire, demanding he fix what had been done.
- One of the customers found an oddly glowing item, and decided to try it on.
- Gambit decided to stage a few demonstrations to attract new customers.
- *There was an explosion in the back of the store. What the heck happened?
- It was actually....
