O-Zone: The Start of a Brand New Day (again), courtesty of a timequake
Unending BE - episode 150
Suddenly there was a timequake. For long minutes, there was the sound of
universes crunching and grinding against each other. When the dust cleared,
the episode had been completely sheared off from its parent, at least
forward in time (going back in time, it could still be reached). The slate
of cause and effect had been wiped clean. No longer able to find a cause
for this episode, the BE AddVenture did the logical thing -- restarted.
A swirly cloud of something that looked like fog filled
the room, and then faded into the night. Jim lay sleeping
in a bed, covers pulled up to his chin. The clock next to
him showed "6:59", then quietly flipped to "7:00" and
began to beep.
Jim was asleep, and right in the middle of a very exciting
dream, when the loud beeping of the alarm woke him up.
He blinked his eyes a few times, rolled over and turned
off the alarm. He lay there in bed for a moment, trying to remember
what he was supposed to do today. Whatever it was, it had
to be better than yesterday, he thought -- today is a brand
new day!
After laying there quietly for a moment, Jim:
- *remembered it was his girlfriend's birthday.
- decided to go back to sleep to try to get back into his dream.
- heard his mother telling him he was going to be late for school.
- *suddenly realized he wasn't alone in his bed.
- *became aware that he didn't know where he was.
- wondered where the hell the little golden ferret perched on his chest had come from... (Heavens! I guess something managed to slip through from the parent episode...
