Ylandra: Variations |
Ylandra does some variations on the Kitana inflation here--one with a blond in blue, the other with Kitana's sister/nemesis, Mileena. You'll need DivX to play them.
Ylandra: Kitana Collection 2 |
Here's where Ylandra gets more sophisticated--other objects in the scene, and the seams/splines start to disappear even more. No sound tho, so don't worry if you hear silence. You'll need DivX to play these.
Ylandra: Anime 1 |
Ylandra tackles Mai from SNK's fighting games and Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion. You'll need DivX to play them.

Ylandra: Tanked Up 'n Bikini |
If you ask me (which you didn't) the first clip has potential to be a series. There's obviously backstory! Ylandra has more up his/her/its sleeve, to be sure. Bikini ain't bad neither, of course! You'll need DivX to play this.

Ylandra: Kitana Collection 1 |
Ylandra has set up shop at Yahoo with Inflatality and graciously allowed me to mirror some of that work here. Ylandra contacted me after I dissed Poser artists--I said Poser anims sucked. I was very happy to eat my words, because Ylandra's stuff is among the best Poser inflations I've ever seen. These clips are some of Y's earlier work, and Kitana from Mortal Kombat II was a frequent, er, test subject. These are cool (and there is no sound), but they're just the beginning. You'll need DivX to play them.
Ylandra: Lara 'n Infsuit |
Ylandra wanted to show the early Kitana anims first so people would better appreciate the current stuff; I think everybody will in direct comparison. Everyone's favorite pneumatic archaeologist Lara Croft gets to test her wetsuit rather well in the first clip, and the very short clip of the black suit of the second shows excellent detail, nice lighting effects, very smooth character animation, and--yes--a brief soundtrack. These things take forever to render--one project Y's working on took a whopping 31 hours for as many seconds of video--but don't they look nice? This is the bulbous shape of things to come. You'll need DivX to play them.

Little Rascals |
Thanks to Stomr, he of the SexyBellies2 and SexyBellies3 groups on Yahoo, for finding these long-lost gems. It's from film #188, "Bubbling Troubles," from 1940, and Alfalfa drinks some homemade nitroglycerine (as kids so often do) that Butch has made (as kids so often do). His tummy swells up, as you'll see from these two clips.

Run for the Money |
Blink and you'll miss it! It's not very good quality, but at least it's here, and I do thank Stormr for that. It's from a USA cable movie called Run for the Money. Sez Stormr: "There was a short scene at the beginning were Christian Slater's supposedly pregnant wife in there, goes to the bathroom, then she pulls out a hose, hooks it to her dress, and inflates her fake belly."

Gas-X: Diner |
Chances are you might have spotted this ad on TV; Pixel Prevert did too so he captured it. In case you haven't realized it, that's 30 seconds of 320x240 video in just over half a meg. That's insanely good quality--and you can fit two of them on a floppy disk. THAT'S why QuickTime and the Sorenson codec are preferred here! The edited version of the scene is just the expansion, and it's twice as large, screen-area-wise.

WB: Worm Trap |
For all of you who keep asking "Why are there no inflatable roosters on your site?" here's your answer. Now shut up.

Animaniacs: Goodfeathers |
Ah, more inflatable birds.

Poor Furball--he of Tiny Toon Adventures. What a lovable scamp!

Frog & Ox |
Excuse the quality, but this is one clip a LOT of people have asked about, and I'm happy to offer it in any form whatsoever. It's from one of the CTW PBS shows--Sesame Street, I think--but the fable is older than that. A megalomaniacal frog tells an ox that he can be bigger and inflates until he explodes. Personally, it doesn't do much for me, but hey--it's nostalgic and I realize it's important because it was a lot of people's first memory of something inflatable. Many thanks to Alec Delux for digging this one up.

Night Life |
Daniel-San stepped up to explain this clip, but only with a caveat: "I was watching this movie when there was NOTHING ELSE on TV. I was extremely bored and tired, and the remote was out of reach and I didn't feel like getting up to change the channel. Anyway, here's what Night Life is about. A brainiac at a high school constantly gets harrassed by the bullies at
school. This brainiac also works at his uncle's morturary. The bullies are
killed in a car accident, their bodies brought to the mortuary, when things
go from bad to stupid. The mortuary is struck by lightning and lo, the dead
bullies turn into undead bullies. The scene in question is set at a gas
station. The zombie/bullies attack a gas station attendant, stuffing hoses
of motor oil into the gas station attendant's mouth. One of the bullies
(that survived) is attacked by one of the undead bullies. The braniac and
his girlfriend, also, just happen to be in the gas station and witness the
inflation/death. Just another excuse to throw red Karo syrup onto some
windows. Actually, the entire movie is an excuse to throw red Karo syrup
around. BTW, the dark quality of the movie...I think someone purposefully turned the
brightness down on the final cut to hide the fact that it's a really BAD
movie."

Woody Woodpecker |
Woody Woodpecker is an old west sheriff who is reacting to a stiff drink at the local tavern. His head jumps off his shoulders with a lightning bolt, then his body swells up like a balloon and explodes with an A-bomb cloud. Whee.

South Park |
I wondered when South Park would get to something like this to kill Kenny! Kenny eats a bowl of antacid tablets, thinking that they are mints. After drinking a glass of water, he fizzes up and explodes. The other kids laugh.

Tomcats |
Sayeth the Fatman: "Hey, I noticed you were looking for the scene with S. Elizabeth from the
movie Tomcats. Well, I decided to do some scrounging, and found this clip.
There's no sound, but it's a pretty good quality .avi (DiVX) at
about 1.8 megs. Admittedly the inflation isn't all that stupendous, but
here it is, if yer interested." And widescreen, too! Good scrounging.

Alien Ant Farm: "Movies" |
Alien Ant Farm is one of the new bands I rather like, so this was a pleasant surprise for me. This is the second video they've done for the song; the old one was just the band on a Hollywood sound stage and far less interesting. The new one takes place in a theater, and the band jumps into scenes from their favorite films, including Edward Scissorhands, Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid, and most importantly, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Pixel and his mighty Sorenson 3 codec have made two versions--QT1 is the full relevant segment of the video, and QT2 is just the parts with the girl, slowed down and with an increased frame size. Enjoy 'em. You can still download a collection of smallish screen grabs as a .zip archive if you prefer still pictures.

Shrek |
Pixel was kind enough to snag these two clips from Shrek--and armed with the Sorenson 3 codec, they should look better than ever. I enjoyed the movie a lot, and felt these two scenes were a little bit of a gyp...give us a Fiona expansion, dammit! Oh well. The first clip is of a musical sequence where Shrek and Fiona are flirting in the forest; the second is the nasty Snow White parody where Fiona trades vocal lines with a nearby bluebird.

Dudodog's 1st Flash |
This clip just goes to show that you don't have to be an amazing artist to contribute to this community. To everybody who says "Oh, I would love to submit something but I am no good at drawing or Flash," take some inspiration in Dudodog, who sat down, doodled, created a film, and released it just to see what people thought. Crude? Yes. Basic? Yes. An excellent example for others to follow? Yes. I think he has potential, and hopefully this clip will be just the first of many as he hones his skills. What's your excuse?

Tasteful TV: Blow-Up Nurse |
Our old pal HoagieKat grabbed this one and shared it, saying: "It was from a show called Tasteful TV on Bravo in the UK, though the original material I think was from Marquis." Sounds like a good guess.

Pump My Body To The Top! |
Behold the massive, 10MB, 4-minute masterpiece of, well, all the other clips from this site. Or as DanielSan tells it: "A while back, I was downloading music files to put on the IC/B2E. I found Lord's of Acid's 'Pump My Body' song. This song was a techno song with the
words 'Pump my body to the top!' interspersed throughout. I thought that this might be neat to put to a video, so I looked at the videos that I have downloaded over time from Inflate123's site and Cheviot's site and decided to put it them to music. Then, Inflate123 suggested a remix with movie quotes sprinkled throughout. After Inflate123's hard work with remixing the song, and helping me compress the video tremendously, comes this video! I hope you enjoy it!" (If you also want the remixed B2E MP3 of "Pump My Body to the Top," it's moved to my main page.)

Sailor Moon |
Okay, hands down, one of the weirdest shows ever made--and this scene, from Sailor Moon Super S episode #125 (U.S.--#132 in Japan) is a fine example. Mike Murphy capped it and Pixel Prevert shrunk & converted it. Murph sez: "Sailor Moon (Serena) and Sailor Mini-Moon (Rini) are fighting the evil Tiger's Eye, who has already trapped Tuxedo Mask (Darien) and his female friend Saori. Tiger's Eye summons the wildly pneumatic Balloongirl, a member of the Dead Moon Circus. She flies around attempting to smother everyone until she is popped with a knife by Tuxedo Mask and blasted with a "Moon Gorgeous Meditation" from Sailor Moon. A villain's life is so unfair..." Should you want to know more about dear sweet "Pooko-chan," click here. And if you'd like to see the fine full-body picture that Pixel composited, click here.

Cobra |
Zedes captured this slightly shocking scene from a Japanese anime called Cobra. He explains: "It's a space adventure story. One episode while Cobra is wandering through space looking for adventure, he falls upon an evil ginii that wants to enslave him. Each of his prisoners has a seed that makes the one who swallows it inflate after a little incantation. There are 3 inflations like this: the first (and best) is the woman, then Cobra, then the ginii itself." These two files represent all three inflations.

Betty Boop |
I have to admit, Betty Boop and cartoons from her era always frighten the hell out of me. The scratchy, muffled soundtracks, grainy visuals, and psychedelic elements (Jesus, the whole room is coming to life! And it's laughing at me! Pass the dutchie on the left-hand side!) all come together to create monochromatic nightmares. Here's one where Betty slowly grows larger as she giggles. And you know what they say: Laugh, and the room laughs with you...

DanielSan's Cocoon PS1 |
DanielSan shared some home movies on his IC/B2E web page, and he's been kind enough to let me mirror them here. He recently got a PS1 inflatable suit from Cocoon and, throught he magic of time-lapse photography, has captured some rough video of the suit in action. Check 'em out!

Simpsons: Tom Savini |
Tom Savini is such a horror movie FX god--and The Simpsons is so desperate for new guest stars--that he showed up on the show recently. The Editor grabbed it and sent it in. Proof positive that the Simpsons may be yellow on the outside but they're bright red on the inside just like everyone else...

Canderel |
Bungle Harris says: "I've found another inflation scene. It came on just after New Year's Day on British TV, and it's one of those weight-loss ads from Canderel that you can get just after Christmas." Inflatable snowman, anyone?

Quantum FX: Kelly Wonka Tribute |
It's been a long time comin', but the Vault is proud to present Quantum FX's first fully complete video file--a Wonka tribute starring Kelly. Kelly has her own BBW site on the web (which I will link to as soon as I find it again!) and she's obviously a great sport--points to all involved for being willing to do it in the first place. Drop Q a line and let him know what you think.

Neon Genesis Evangelion |
While I'm sure an entire page could be devoted to the backstory on this clip, I'm going to go with Pixel Prevert's quick-n-dirty summary of the scene, since this isn't an anime homepage. :) "We have a bunch of kids still in high school, still under the influence of their hormones, who are Earth's front-line defense against evil, alien critters known as angels. Asuka, the babe in the inflatable suit, is a pilot for one of the combat robots. One of the alien buggers has gone down an active volcano, hence the inflatable thermal insulation suit." Special thanks to longtime friend Sam Tuirel for the heads-up on this scene's existence, and who also notes that this is from the fifth volume of the series, in an episode named "Magma Diver."

DanielSan's Kayser suit |
DanielSan shared some home movies on his IC/B2E web page, and he's been kind enough to let me mirror them here. Says DanielSan: "A while back, I bought an inflatable pregnancy suit from Kaysers. The image, at the moment, is broken on the page, but the suit itself was nicely made! Unfortunately, I bought the suit before they had custom sizing, so the suit I bought didn't quite fit me. The strain on the suit was too much and it ripped...but I did create 3 movies with it. I'm wearing normal clothes over it so it appears that a 'female' is inflating." The clips have no sound and are rather large downloads, so be warned--but get 'em anyway, because this may be the closest you get to owning one of those suits, and you don't get to see them in action very often. Thanks for sharing, DanielSan!

Duckman (Body) |
All Bungle: "I've got a body inflation scene which I never really realised I had on tape. The scene itself came from Duckman. This particular clip aired a few years ago. It's been some time since I've seen the entire episode, so I don't remember exactly what happens in the episode. The clipping itself has a detective doing a flashback scene about a murder--in which we see the victim inflating out of his clothes." From the context of what's here, I'm guessing it was a lactose intolerance joke.

Big Trouble in Little China |
All Bungle: "It's been some time since I last saw this film, and I was lucky I saw this clip. Basically, the film revolves a truck driver (played by Kurt Russell) and some of his friends trying to rescue his friend's fiancee from the clitches of an evil Chinese sorcerer in Little China. The clip shows one of the sorcerer's cronies discovering that his master has been killed. In grief, he decides to kill himself--by inflating! Seconds later, he explodes." He does--but all we really get to see is his face and a few closeups of his hands and feet. It's kinda disturbing, so be forewarned.

Tinmible
| | |
Sunny Delight...sounds less like an orange juice drink and more like a porn star, don't you think? Perhaps that's only appropriate. This extended TV commercial was spotted by Tinmible on the Sunny Delight website, in the Canadian section. Poor Jenny--she's not only stuck on an inane game show parody, but she's also got to do cartwheels in an inflatable clown outfit while sucking down a bottle of Sunny Delight! Oh, will the mirth never end? The second clip is an outtake from the same commercial, which is nice because it shows you more of the girl in the suit without her flailing so much, but be warned that it was not optimized for online viewing--it has a sky-high data rate and should therefore be viewed offline. Hey, Tinmible--thanks, eh?

QuantumFX: Kelly Experiments |
I think the whole community is currently watching Quantum FX's progress, but all the same I'll happily mirror a few of his recent experiments. He's found a plus-size model named Kelly who's apparently willing to go along with some Wonka fantasy scenes. As he gets closer and closer to a final release of the clip, he's sharing a few of his experiments with everybody. The top clip features two bits with Kelly and a reprise of the "Dinmi" clip, while the bottom scene features Kelly in a new outfit. Thanks Quantum!

Street Trash |
It's cheesy horror/comedy from 1987, and it's something to do with homeless guys drinking tainted booze which then makes them dissolve or explode, depending on what the budget was that day. You can find out more about it at BadMovies.org if you like. Apparently the main swelling is before this scene, which ends in a gory fashion (very gory--be warned). Thanks to Osmin and his Male Body Inflation Page for the heads-up.
