So you wanna
morph like Pacman!?
How I make
pictures more fun to look at.

5. Removing
Extra Junk
This
next section will essentially cover getting what you have just done previously
turned into a decent pair of larger breasts. It sounds easy, I'm sure you
assume it's just a matter of erasing the extra stuff until you have breasts.
Hardly
folks.
The
entire reason you did that "paste into" earlier will now
be revealed. Zoom into your image a bit. I went up to 300%. Now I have a nice
large version of the area I wish to work with. Right away there are a few
things you need to do.
First,
make sure you have the "layer mask thumbnail" clicked on,
and not the "layer thumbnail". The black one is the layer mask.
Second,
you MUST have your foreground and background colors set to black and white.
If
you click on those little tiny squares in the corner of this icon it will
set them to this automatically. It's handy.
Now
it's time to start eliminating areas of the the boob layer that you won't
be needing. There are a lot of ways to do this, but I'll explain how I do
it.
Select
your elyptical marquee tool. You need this to make a nice selection.
Take notice that you can easily drag this selection around as long as your
mouse curser is inside the selection.
Line
it up with her breast. This circle is going to be a marker used to shape the
breast.
Great! Now you
may see what I'm getting at. the circle I made serves a guideline for what
we are going to get rid of. Now make sure to inverse your selection.
We want to get rid of area outside of the circle, not inside.
Now
some of this can be done with transparency on, or not. That's up to you. I
like to at least dispose of the stuff under the waistline with the boobs somewhat
transparent.
Anyway,
how are we going to get rid of things? Not the eraser, buddy. The paintbrush.
Paintbrush?
That's right the paintbrush. Select the paintbrush tool. You are going
to want to take notice of what types of brushes you can use. I'm going to
compile a quick image that shows the variety of brushes I use so you can have
an idea.
Here
you see pretty much every brush I use when I do a morph. I have a nice set
of round brushed that are have very light fainted edges, and another
set with larger fainted edges.
The
vast majority of the time I am using the top set. The bottom set are all used
for blending the boobs into the original picture.
For
actually adding/removing parts of the boob layer use brushes similar to those
I have in the top half of this set.
Because I'm such a nice guy you can download my brushes here. Pacman's Photoshop Brushes (1.1 meg zip)
Now,
when you have black selected as your color with the paintbrush, you
will be able to use it as an eraser. Try it out once! Pretty darn neat eh?
Now select white as your color, paint over where you just erased. Everything
you got rid of is now back! you're set and ready to go!
I
typically start erasing the extra stuff by doing her waist first. So do just
that, remember anything you erase can easily be put back, so if you screw
up it's no big deal.
Now
you can also start working toward the outer edge of our circle as well.
Oh
no! There are straps on this shirt! No problem. Remember, I like to work
with the original neckline, and not a new one. So just go around the edge
of the neckline, including the front of her shirt and erase (don't erase any
part that may become boobs of course).
Now
you also do her back as well. You will be erasing all of the extra stuff here,
but before you do that I recommend making a new circle selection where her
other breast would be, just in case part of her breast may be affected by
your erasing. And once again, make sure to invert your selection otherwise
photoshop will expect you to erase only what is inside that circle selection.
See what I mean?
Now take some time erasing the back. Just follow the outline of her back and
erase as before. It's super easy!
Now
you have a nice general overview of how to shape the breasts!
Now
would be a good time to set your layers transparency back to 100 so you can
see a good view of what you have done so far.
Not
too shabby at all! Now it's time for all of the minor touch ups, though it's
going to come off as a lot, be aware that touch up time is the most vital
time in the morphing process. It will make or break the morph, so do it with
care.
Now
move onward, young artist!
