So you wanna
morph like Pacman!?
How I make
pictures more fun to look at.

3. Deciding on Size
Yeah,
I know that title sounds weird. But I'm the teacher here so I can say things
however I please.
But
before we go any further, SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL IMAGE. Whether it be as a Photoshop
file (psd) or a jpeg, make sure to do it now. You want to make sure you always
have a copy of the original. Never save directly over an original pic. You
will regret it later.
Size
is what this is all about. But it's very important to realize right away that
every picture has limitations. You can't always do what you want to do. You
may want to make the breasts as big as humanly possible, but it probably won't
look right in the end. Don't go nuts just to blow people away. Work on making
the boobs bigger, but more importantly make them look REALISTIC. Once you
master that, you can slowly make the breasts larger and still look halfway
authentic. Too many people try to just blow up a pic, cut the boobs out and
paste them over the top of the original. There is so much more to it!
So
don't shoot for Zena Fulsom at first, be content with say, a few mere cup
sizes up. You will be ready to go larger before you know it.
So
lets take a look at the picture I selected.
Certainly becoming,
isn't she?
But
we are not here to stare. There is work to do.
First,
let's take a look at the pic I selected. Notice a few things. First of all,
it's a fairly clean pictures. No grainy pixels, no objects in the way of the
model, it's overall not too bad to work with.
Also
note that this woman actually already has breasts. I can't explain to you
all how hard it is to work with pictures of flat girls. With flat girls, you
have to essentially create breasts for the woman. It's a pain in the ass and
usually comes off as really fake. This woman has a decent set to start with,
and we will be using what she already has as our guidelines for the larger
ones.
Also
notice that the lighting in the picture is pretty basic. No crazy shadows
to deal with, and the picture isn't too light, and isn't too dark. It's a
happy medium.
Another
important thing is the size of the picture. It looks kind of small here, but
I shrunk it down to fit this page. But regardless I can put this simply for
you: larger pics rule. The larger a pic is, the more pixels you have to push.
You want that. High resolution and a large size leads to a better looking
morph if the artist doing it has talent.
Now
it's time to fire up Photoshop.
First
thing we have to do is get a larger version of her breasts to work with.
So
we're going to lasso us some boobies! Take your lasso tool, and make a
selection that includes her breasts. Make your selection much larger than
it needs to be. Take a look at this example.
Notice
right away that I basically selected all of her shirt. The reason for this
is because I'd rather have extra to work with in comparison to less. You can
always cut away undeeded areas later on.
I
generally just kind of outline the torso shape a bit larger and go with that.
All I really need to work with is there.
Now
copy your selection.
The
next thing you need to do is VERY
important
to remember.
Go
to the edit menu, and do a PASTE INTO. Do not do a paste, it will stop
this tutorial in it's tracks. Following directions is the a big part of this.
Once you know it, you'll do it without even thinking.
Now
take a quick look over at your layer palette. Doing the "paste into"
made a new layer. What you see highlighted in blue is that very layer.
Note
how it has two boxes in it instead of the one that your background has. The
first one is a layer thumbnail. The second is the layer mask thumbnail.
You'll work with both, so be aware that by clicking on them you can select
them. In this picture I have the layer thumbnail selected. This is the actual
copy of what I just pasted. It's her boobs!
The
other box, the layer mask is just an outline of that. It blocks out everything
else. Think of it as a piece of construction paper with a hole the shape of
your selection in it.
Anyway
there's something else to do here. You have to link these two together. Otherwise
you will not be able to freely move her boobs around the picture to place
them. So click in between the the little thumbnails. You will see layers
linked indicator icon appear. I will picture it so you can see what I
mean.
And
there it is! The magic doo-dad! You always want to make sure this gets checked
at this point. Otherwise, chaos can ensue.
Feel
free to save your image now, but give it a new name so you don't erase the
original. And save it as a .psd file. That way your layers are intact later
on if you decide to go back to it.
Now,
to make these boobs bigger. First of all, make sure you have the layer thumbnail
selected and not the layer mask thumbnail. Now you want to go to the edit
menu and then to Free Transform. Your picture should now look like
this.
See
those little squares all over? This is what you are going to use to enlarge
the breasts. By clicking and dragging on one of the corner square. But what
you really SHOULD do is hold down shift while doing this. It preserves
the proportions. That way you aren't distorting the image as you make it larger.
Also
try holding down your ctrl key when dragging. It will let you drage
only the handle you are clicking on. I rarely use this, but sometimes it can
really help in shaping the new breasts.
Now
you can finally start enlarging her hooters. Give it a try! After you get
the size you want, hit enter to save your new size. Attempt to go roughly
the size I am choosing here. (Though it is optional.)
Sweet! You have
new boobs for her! Now you're in business. I know they aren't attached to
her yet or anything, but we'll get to that!
Onward
to Placing!
