Names and Monikers

What's in a Name?

Ok, so you have decided to become a web published artist and you have your new work to post for all to see, but what name do you post it under? Do you use your real name, your online handle or do you make up something new?

Some people are averse to using their real name on the web. Some have very good reasons for this. For instance: a job where they may get grief, if it were discovered that the work place computer was used for this unique purpose, or, rhey share a computer with a spouse who dislikes adult content. Another reason is that they do not wish to flooded with spam or other unwanted intrusions. Yet there are many who have NO problem using their real names, and they do so.

Online handles are usually good and usually related to your e-mail address. This takes us back to the days when everyone had a name on the BBS that they liked, such as IceLord, Silver Bullet, Snugglebunny, etc... Monikers can be cool and fun to use, sort of an alter ego you get to be online. What if your online handle is something you don't want to use for morphing? Create a new one!

Creating a new moniker can be easy at times and difficult at others. It should describe what you want to get across to others or be something you hold dear or have an interest in. Some names I find good are Max C. which stands for Maximum Cleavage ^_^ a good BE name. Others that come to mind are Gigabreast/Gigatits, very descriptive don't you think?

In conclusion a name can be anything you want it to be, but pick something you like and stick with it. (more on this in logos).
