Corporations, products, and sports franchises all choose a symbol or visual
design to represent their name and to create instant recognition. Everyone knows who the golden arches stand for (and we're not talking Sarenna with her legs spread). Logos are a great way of identifying you from everyone else. A logo on a picture immediately lets someone know who did the picture and they are a little harder to remove than just renaming a pic.
There are many types of logos, some are graphical, such as Web Jones' Macrosoft logo below.
Others are the persons name or handle represented by their Initials or a Symbol. These initials may be stylized or just represented by a font. Here is Engineer's E, Colonel Morphermor's initials and Dr. Morphos Blue Butterfly.
Last but not least is the name. This can be any sort of representation of your name placed in the picture. Here is Shark, AkioSumi and Flash Bird.
Names and Logos brings up another subject. Sticking with the name you choose. It is easier for you and the collector of your art if you stay with one name. If you change names people will have a hard time keeping your work cataloged and if you lose any of your work and want someone to send them to you they may not realize they have the pic you are looking for under another name. Friday Riley recently changed his name from Riles77. He kept them similar; if you are going to change your name, the optimum time is early in your morphing career.
