SKETCHING

1. Take some ordinary plain with A4 paper, a pencil (preferably one that uses graphite rods) and a rubber
2. Sketch your character on paper being as rough or as neat as you feel necessary
3. Do a quick scan to see how it will look on screen. You do not actually have to be accurate here, it is just to make sure the character is in proportion etc. Here I noticed that her face looked a little odd and her midsection was a little long.
4. Once you have established what is wrong with your pic, you can quickly make a few alterations in pencil before you 'ink'
