Select an area that should receive little light.

Continue selecting, darkening all areas receiving less light.

Select areas receiving more light; increase brightness by 30-50%.

Darken areas where shadows are cast by the hair, breasts, nose, chin.

Select area crossing dark- medium-light boundaries; blur or soften by 4 pixel-radius.

Brighten, darken hair zones more extremely than skin.
