"I don't feel any different," said Fruitbat. "Are you sure it's back?"
DJ nodded. "Test it out," she suggested.
Fruitbat concentrated on the pile of papers she had just sorted, and...
POOF! It disappeared.
"I hope," said DJ archly, "that those didn't go out into the AddVenture somewhere! There's no telling what damage this documentation could do in the wrong hands..."
"Shouldn't have," Fruitbat replied, pleased with herself. "That batch was ready to file. Let's check the filing cabinet."
The papers were there, and DJ nodded approvingly. "Well done," she said.
Fruitbat smiled, basking in her approval. It wasn't often in her brief but interesting stint Backstage that she had managed to do something right. She hoped it was the start of a trend.
(It was. Unbeknownst to her, DJ had prudently removed Fruitbat's "screw-up factor" when she reempowered her.)
"I'll just continue the cleanup," the lizard girl announced happily.
DJ nodded. "You do that. Me, I'll start organizing the map data." And she did, starting with the data Fruitbat had brought back from JigSaw's Lair. She had already forwarded the information to Deja Voodoo and to Adama between episodes, but now she discovered a mistake in her earlier findings. From Fruitbat's description of the area she had explored outside the Lair the various "upper floors" must extend far beyond far beyond the locality of the Bar and Grille. The assumption that each floor of the Author Suites had sixty-seven suites also appeared to be wrong -- after all, she was Deja Voodoo's Avatar (however he now pretended otherwise), and shared his memories. She distinctly recalled that Deja's suite, on Floor 13, bore the number 385. Presumably, each of the suite floors contained a full hundred suites, with the apparent exception of the top one. She wondered what the unused space on the top floor might house -- or possibly the floor would grow as more Authors checked in to help write the BE AddVenture? She filed the question away in her mind for further investigation. The question of just how far the upper floors extended, though, could be answered now. Thanks to the memories Deja had implanted in her mind of her previous visit to her office, she knew that there was an elevator at the back wall, next to the lavatory. Rising abruptly, she strode back to it and examined the small floor directory next to the call buttons. She read:

Hmm, Suite 670? DJ thought. But during Fruitbat's soujourn on that floor 667 was the highest number. Apparently her supposition that Suites were added along with Authors was the correct one. Interesting... It was apparent too that the "upper rooms" did indeed extend from one end of the Backstage to the other, and that the hitherto-known familiar features of Backstage were all encompassed on the main level. That stood to reason, since the floors she had visited in the Hotel and the Bar and Grill all had visible ceilings of ordinary height rather than extending upward seemingly forever as was the case on the main level "outside," and on the Author Suite levels. And the rest of the levels? Probably. Another item to check into further...
DJ made a mental note to refer her findings so far to the proper authorities and turned to the material Adama had extracted from the minds of Mr. Hands and Dr. Commander, who apparently had "cased" much of the main level and adjunct dimensions in order to carry out their contract on Conrad Volkov...
